Choice of Practitioners
Our goal is to deliver an exceptionally friendly, prompt and professional service, with the practitioner of your choice. Sometimes your chosen practitioner will be fully booked or not available on that day. On those occasions, we will attempt to give you appointments around those times or provide another highly qualified physiotherapist to continue your care.

Assessment Practices
Patients may be expected to remove certain articles of clothing to allow for a detailed musculoskeletal assessment. Patients are entitled to bring a chaperone if they so wish to.

Liability
All Great Lakes Physiotherapy practitioners are insured through their respective insurance companies. Great Lakes Physiotherapy adopts assurance protocols in accordance with the clinical guidelines as are specified by the Australian Physiotherapy Association.

Fees and Your Account
All fees are due at the time of service. Medicare Care Plans cover some of the fee for treatment, we do not bulk bill. TYRO HealthPoint and EFTPOS facilities are available at the front desk for automatic claiming through your private health fund.

Appointment Scheduling / Missed Appointments
Your physiotherapist will design a Recommended Action Plan for your treatment. You will achieve your best outcome by adhering to the plan.

We ask that you schedule your appointments in advance to achieve our mutual goal.

Missed appointments will set you back in your recovery, so we ask that wherever possible you keep all your appointments.

If an appointment must be changed, 24 hours notice is required. A cancellation fee applies if less than 24 hours notice is given. This fee is not covered by compensable bodies and must be paid by the patient. People who repeatedly miss or reschedule appointments will regretfully be discharged from care.

If you do not provide satisfactory notice of cancellation, you will incur:

  1. A fee equivalent to 50% of the treatment charge for cancellations inside 24 hours of the appointment time but more than 4 hours before the appointment time.
  2. A fee equivalent to 100% of the treatment charge if less than 4 hours notice is given.

Consideration will be given for unavoidable circumstances.

Referrals
The greatest compliment we can receive is the referral of a friend or family member. We appreciate you entrusting us with the care of your close ones. The referral of your family and friends is much appreciated as it assists in their own wellbeing and plays a vital role in the success of our business.
